Eliminating Candida Through Candida Diet

Candidiasis, or thrush as it’s commonly known, is a condition that involves the vagina becoming irritated and swollen. A cottage cheese substance is also released in the form of discharge. It’s a difficult condition that millions of people suffer from at least once during their lives. In fact, even men have been known to suffer from thrush around the head of the penis. There is a wide variety of contributing factors, but by far the most prominent is the one caused by diet. Through an anti-candida diet this can be stopped, though.

What is Candidiasis?

Bacteria normally live within the sexual organs of both men and women. These bacteria are called Candida Albicans and thrush is caused when they grow out of control and begin to infect and irritate the skin surrounding the sexual organs. In 10% of cases, however, it’s different forms of fungi that cause the condition to become active.

The main cause of thrush is thought to be a chemical imbalance. Once there’s a chemical imbalance it can cause the bacteria to grow rapidly. If it’s allowed to grow without being stopped then thrush is caused and then the bacteria must be killed off through various medicines. What is important to remember, however, is that the best form of treatment is the one that stops it before it appears. And the main way to do this is through an anti-candida diet.

Leaky Gut Syndrome

Leaky gut syndrome is another condition that can have dramatic effects on the human body. It’s linked very closely to candidiasis, however. Take a look at what leaky gut syndrome is and the bond is clear to see. The definition of leaky gut syndrome is that it’s a condition that causes gaps in the cell walls of the digestive system. It means that those toxins and harmful substances that would have been stopped by the digestive system can get through the gaps without dealing with the cell filters.

Naturally, changing the chemical balance of the sexual organs isn’t going to be difficult as all of these toxic chemicals are going to be able to roam free without being challenged. White blood cells can only deal with so many different illnesses and diseases at the same time. Once the chemical balance has been changed the Candida Albicans will grow out of control and will cause thrush to rise up.

It’s thought that millions of people suffer from leaky gut syndrome. The problem is that since many doctors fail to diagnose it the problem is never solved. When combined with the numbers of people who suffer from thrush during their lifetime the objective is clear. If it’s possible to reduce the prevalence of leaky gut syndrome then why shouldn’t the prevalence of thrush decrease significantly?

Anti Candida Diet

Since many of the treatments, in terms of diet, are exactly the same for curing both thrush and leaky gut syndrome there’s going to be no differentiation between the two throughout this section. They all have a positive effect on the growth of candida, so implement these changes and results should be seen within just a few weeks.

 Candida Diet  Foods to Avoid

The best place to start is by looking at a conventional diet that people eat every single day and then look at what needs to be cut out first. Changing diet can be difficult, and if this is the case then it’s best to start by just cutting out certain sections before attempting to add new and untried things. The following is a list of things that should be cut, or at least significantly reduced.

Anything with refined sugar in it. Take note that there is a significant difference between refined sugar and the natural sugars that exist in things such as fruit. Refined sugars are unnatural and should be avoided at all costs. Chocolates, pastries, and condiments like honey are things that can often cause the most problems. Candida is very sensitive to sugar and will respond if too much of it is present.

Alcohol has two problems associated with it. Firstly, what many people don’t know is that it contains a massive amount of sugar. Another problem is that it’s a bottle of toxins. Ingest it and stress is placed on the immune system, which makes any bacteria that would cause candida growth more potent.

Fermented and dairy products are directly feeding the yeast. Remember, there’s a reason that some people refer to candidiasis as a yeast infection. Avoid them as they energise the bacteria and encourage it to grow rapidly.

 Candida Diet  Foods to Eat

Certain foods will ensure that a lot of fibre is inserted into the body. To successfully deal with the issue it’s necessary to aid digestion and to prevent the feeding of the Candida Albicans. Here is a list of some of the foods/food groups that can work towards achieving all of these goals as part of an anti-candida diet.

Vegetables and legumes are very high in fibre and the amount of roughage encourages good digestion. Get them fresh and there are a lot of helpful bacteria for the digestive system to be getting on with.

Distilled and mineralised water can reduce the amount of chlorine and fluorine present within tap water. It can also provide some additional substances that sufferers of Candida often lack.

Garlic is the key. It’s often not particularly pleasant for most people, but the fact is that it actively works to kill the overgrowth of yeast. It’s also known to reduce the amount of cholesterol in the body, which helps to treat the problem of a defective digestive system at the same time.

Drink fresh fruit juices. They have a lot of enzymes within them that can aid digestion. Furthermore, the fact of the matter is that they are easily absorbed by the body, which makes it a good option when deciding between different drinks and foods to have at lunch.
